We all want to be successful.

We all want to be seen, and heard, and validated.

We all want to make a statement, say our opinion, hear that it’s right.

Are we ALL willing to do what it takes in order to gain success?

“Successful people do what unsuccessful people are not willing to do. Don’t wish it were easier; wish you were better.”

Success Requires Hard Work

“Those who only do what they feel like… don’t do much. To be successful at anything you must take action even when you don’t feel like it, knowing that the action itself will produce the motivation you need to follow through.” -Hal Elrod

Nobody that has gained abundant success was ever lazy or didn’t have any discipline. Success requires time and effort, it requires you to get your hands dirty and it requires you to think hard.

“There is nothing new under the sun, everything that has been done will be done again.”

It doesn’t matter what field you’re in or what you’re trying to do with your life, someone else has most likely already done it before. Take action and learn from that person. Study their strategies and modify them for your own purposes.

“Watching the best taught me how to run my businesses.” — Mark Cuban

Nothing you do occasionally will give you good results. Success stems from what you do every single day. You need to create a daily habit that says, “no matter what, this will get done.” Especially on the days that you don’t feel like doing it.

“Sweat equity is the most valuable equity there is. Know your business and industry better than anyone else in the world. Love what you do or don’t do it.” — Mark Cuban

Success requires patience

“Success is walking from failure to failure with no loss of enthusiasm.”

If you have been investing into yourself, into your business and you haven’t seen any results. Don’t be discouraged. Success requires patience. Great things require time to build. No great future was ever built in a matter of months.

Billionaires don’t think about the present. They only think about the future and the bigger picture. That means delaying gratifications in order to enjoy greater rewards in the long term.

If you’re trying to build a successful business and it’s taking time for it
to grow — you need to remember that it’s okay. Slow growth in a business is the norm — not the exception.

You have to work intensely, trying to make things happen very fast, yet simultaneously remembering that true business success usually takes a long time.

Sam Walton started Walmart in 1945, and his business didn’t reach it’s hyper-growth until 25 years later, in 1975. And in 1990, it became the top retailer in the US.

Success requires vision

Having a vision, a mission statement, and setting focused goals is what will take you far. When you create a vision for your life you have a clear direction of where you are headed. You have a clear vision of what you want to achieve. And, if you’re doing things right, you will stay on that path and not let yourself get swayed because your vision and your mission statement is that powerful.

“The ones who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, are the ones that do.”

You have to think of yourself as a brand, and when you do so you have to think about what it is that your brand is trying to tell people. A personal mission statement is a critical piece of your brand because it helps you stay focused.

Here are a few mission statements from people:

“To serve as a leader, live a balanced life, and apply ethical principles to make a significant difference.” — CEO OF CAMPBELL SOUP COMPANY

“To be a teacher. And to be known for inspiring my students to be more than they thought they could be.” — OPRAH WINFREY

Have a clear vision for yourself. Do what you love to do so that your work could always inspire others to do what they love to do as well.

“Success isn’t just about what you accomplish in your life; it’s about what you inspire others to do.”
